Halftime at NAU Game

The 2010 Griz season was disappointing, but somewhat expected. When you have a new coach with a new offensive philosophy there are going to be growing pains. Compound that with some key injury's and way too many turnovers and you can understand a 7-4 record.
So, If coach Pflugrad can get the turnover problem under control and instill some discipline in special teams I think we will be ok next year. Really, the Griz were a few turnovers away from a 10-1 record. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Jordan Johnson can do next spring. Team him up with Jordan Canada and we might have some thing special. Time will tell.
I think the spring game is in Billings. Hopefully Pflugrad can get some good recruiting done with the extra time off this year. Who knows....not making the playoffs for a year may be a blessing in disguise.
Everyone have a great holiday season and Go Griz!!

The win
A beautiful day and a record crowd. The Griz played a little sloppy at times but they got the win and that's what counts. Go Griz!

Week 1 Montana vs Western State

Beers and food before the game

The weather moving in
The row 13 crew

A full house (to start with) to see the blowout

Victory!
Griz football is finally back and what a day, other then an hour or so, for a game. These late summer games are always nice for wearing shorts and drinking a few beers. The defense looked outstanding. It was a nice tune up for their first real game. The stoppage of play for lightening was a first for me. An extra long halftime was pretty cool though. Next up is Cal Poly. Go Griz!

On To Next Season

The championship game didn't go the way anyone of us were hoping but it was still a great year. Signing day is fast approaching It looks like we've got a few really good looking recruits that have already verballed to Montana. Most notably a qb from Oregon (Jordan Johnson). I think the spring scrimmage is in Butte this year in April so some Griz football isn't too far off.
