Griz vs Appalachian State

Pregame beers

 a new record

 The win

The Grizzlies made it look easy in what I thought  would be
a tough game. In the first regular season night game at Washington Grizzly
Stadium they came out on top 30-6. In his first game
back Jordon Johnson looked to be in mid season form. I have
a feeling its going to be an exciting year! Go Griz!

Griz Basketball

Time out towards the end of the game

Will Cherry making a free throw

Rest stop on the way home

Pregame snacks at the Doubletree....very good

This was our first Griz basketball game. It was fun...loud, throwback jerseys and Griz/Cat...we will definitely be going to more. What an exciting game. The Griz tied it up with a three with seconds left and went on to win in overtime. The Doubletree sure is a nice location to stay at for games. It takes about 5 mins to walk to the Adams Center. Good food too.

Playoffs, Grizzlies vs Central Arkansas

Pregame at the GSA tailgate. They had a nice heater set up. Silvertip Skydivers. Enjoy, this could be their last year if lights are put in.
Bring em out...notice the pirate flag

Brady tried to steal my seat

It was a bit chilly out

Another southern team gets a whipping in the playoffs
Post game

The Griz came out and flat out dominated Central Arkansas. It was a nice welcome back to the playoffs for Montana who had their record streak of playoff appearances broken last year. If the Griz can play like this every week they are going to do some damage in the post season. Sure is nice to be playing towards a true national champion unlike those "big" schools. Next up is Northern Iowa. Go get em Griz!

Griz vs Western Oregon..Millitary Appreciation Day

A nice sight on the way to Missoula
Monte and Mo came out in Hummers
The big flag! So cool!
Dorks

A nice crowd for a playing a D-2 team
Tru with the win!

The Grizzlies won the one pretty easy 32-7. It was essentially a tune up game for the Montana State game in 2 weeks. Brody McKnight had a record-setting day going 6 for 6 on field goals. The University did an outstanding job with Military Appreciation day with the big flag, hummers and F-15 flyover courtesy of the Montana Air National Guard out of Great Falls. Now 14 days to rest up for the big Griz/cat game! Go Griz!

Griz vs Weber *Revenge*

Our first tailgate spot. As you can see we were a bit early. We were the first ones in the parking lot.
Yum, brats and hot dogs
Game time....Yosh and Dawn stayed out to cook for halftime.
Michael and Jordan Johnson after the game.

Michael and Trumaine Johnson after the game.

Houston Roots

Our first tailgate was a success! We couldn't have had a better spot. I think this will be a yearly thing now. Brady, Kristy, Michael, Yosh, Dawn and my mom and dad all had beer and brats before the game and at halftime. Mom even made some scotcharoos. The game was great. The Griz killed Weber! The final score was 45-10. This was the first game the offense came to play for the whole game. If they can keep this up we can go far in the playoffs. After the cats weber is my least favorite team. Next up is Western Oregon. Go Griz!

Montana vs Eastern Washington

Drinks at the GSA Tailgate

26,066 a record crowd!
The win!

The was a game everyone was looking forward to. Last years champs were coming to town. We needed some revenge after last years loss in Washington. It was a close one but the Griz sent Eastern packing with an 0-3 record. Ouch. The final score was 17-14. I'm running behind....this post is out of order.

Homecoming Montana vs UNC

A cold beer on a beautiful morning. This update was posted from my iPad. That's why the quality isn't as good.

Playing catch with my Dad before the game

Bring em out!!

Some rain in the 4th quarter

Big crowd. It was the fourth largest ever I believe.
Griz looked good today. It was against Northern Colorado but even so I think they needed a game like this to get some confidence and momentum back. The final score was 55-28. Next week we play at Idaho State. Looks like Kramer has them playing quite a bit better this year. Hopefully JJ will be healthy. Go Griz!

Week 2, Montana vs Cal Poly

The final score
The win!
Goofing around

Boom!!

Pregame....Remembering 9/11

It was a hot one in the stadium this weekend! The Griz started out hot went a little cold and then picked it up big time in the second half. Sambrano started the game off by returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown. After that they didn't get a whole lot going until after halftime. Boy did they look good when they opened the offense up in the 3rd quarter. Jordan Johnson looked great! Really makes me excited to see how he does against Eastern Saturday. He could be the next great Griz quarterback. I sure hope so! Everyone have a good week and lets kick some eastern ass Saturday! Go Griz!

Griz 2010 Season Wrap Up

A Few Random Pictures
Griz/Cat....Brrrr....
Griz/Cat Pregame

Some Cold Beverages Before a Cold Game

Griz vs. NAU tailgating

Halftime at NAU Game

The 2010 Griz season was disappointing, but somewhat expected. When you have a new coach with a new offensive philosophy there are going to be growing pains. Compound that with some key injury's and way too many turnovers and you can understand a 7-4 record.
So, If coach Pflugrad can get the turnover problem under control and instill some discipline in special teams I think we will be ok next year. Really, the Griz were a few turnovers away from a 10-1 record. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Jordan Johnson can do next spring. Team him up with Jordan Canada and we might have some thing special. Time will tell.
I think the spring game is in Billings. Hopefully Pflugrad can get some good recruiting done with the extra time off this year. Who knows....not making the playoffs for a year may be a blessing in disguise.
Everyone have a great holiday season and Go Griz!!
